The 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe introduces a host of upgrades, refining its position in the full-size SUV market. Among the highlights are a redesigned dashboard, technology enhancements, and improved diesel engine performance. Suspension tuning has also been refined for a smoother ride, and new wheel options — including the first-ever 24-inch wheels — offer greater customization.

Trim Level Highlights

Across the trim lineup, the LS receives updated front-end styling with a revised grille and fascia. Stepping up to the LT adds chrome detailing for a more upscale appearance. The RST trim caters to sportier tastes with blacked-out exterior elements and exclusive wheels, including the new 24-inch option.

The Z71, designed for off-road adventures, features rugged styling cues and distinctive red recovery hooks. The Premier trim leans into luxury with elevated exterior accents, while the top-tier High Country adds exclusive design features and premium chrome touches.

For added convenience, the AutoSense Power Liftgate is available on both the Premier and High Country trims, simplifying cargo access.

Powertrain Options

The 2025 Tahoe comes with three engine choices:

  • 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 (standard on LS, LT, RST, Z71, and Premier): 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque
  • 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 (standard on High Country; optional on RST, Z71, and Premier): 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque
  • Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel (available on all but LS): 305 hp and 495 lb-ft of torque

All engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission for smooth and responsive performance.

Driving Dynamics & Towing Capability

Acceleration times range from 0–60 mph in 6.5 to 7.8 seconds, depending on the configuration. The Tahoe reaches top speeds of 112–115 mph. Towing capabilities are robust:

  • 5.3L V8 with RWD: Up to 8,400 pounds
  • 6.2L V8: Up to 8,300 pounds
  • 3.0L Diesel: Up to 8,200 pounds

Advanced suspension technologies are available for enhanced comfort and handling. The RST, Z71, and High Country trims offer the Four-Corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, while Premier and High Country include Magnetic Ride Control for dynamic damping adjustments.

Interior Features & Space

The 2025 Tahoe seats between seven and nine passengers depending on configuration. Interior updates include a new 17.7-inch center touchscreen angled toward the driver and an 11.0-inch digital gauge cluster, standard across all trims.

Passenger comfort remains a priority, with 45 inches of first-row legroom and 26 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row. Fold down the second and third rows, and the Tahoe offers up to 123 cubic feet of cargo capacity — ideal for larger families or hauling gear.

Luxury upgrades include:

  • High Country: Perforated leather seating with intricate stitching
  • Premier & High Country: Heated and ventilated front seats plus heated second-row bucket seats

Advanced Safety & Driver Assistance

Every 2025 Tahoe is equipped with Chevy Safety Assist, which includes forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking. Additional safety and driver assistance features include:

  • Lane-keeping assist with lane departure warning
  • Front pedestrian and bicyclist braking
  • Intersection automatic emergency braking
  • Rear cross-traffic braking
  • Side bicyclist alert
  • Adaptive cruise control

Super Cruise, GM’s hands-free driving technology, is available on the LT, RST, Premier, and High Country trims. All models also benefit from enhanced towing safety features, including a trailer tire health monitoring system and access to 14 camera views for superior visibility.
