The 2025 GMC Yukon is a large SUV with a cavernous, comfortable cabin and a huge carrying capacity. It’s also packed with numerous other features that can turn a simple drive into an exciting experience. We’re going to look closer at some of its practical features.

3 Practical Features of the 2025 GMC Yukon

Night Vision

When you’re driving at night with limited or no streetlight illumination, you’ll automatically switch to high beams. Under some conditions, like mist, fog, or snow, the beam’s light can reflect, making it even more difficult to see where you’re driving. The available Night Vision feature makes driving safer as it allows you to see even in complete darkness.

The system uses an infrared camera positioned on the rear of the rearview mirror. This camera has a range of over 300 feet and will display the image it sees on your screen. It reads thermal signatures, so you can easily identify humans, moving vehicles, and animals while still showing the silhouettes of stationary vehicles and objects. You can also adjust its settings if you need a clearer definition.

Super Cruise

Super Cruise is standard or available, depending on your trim, and enables hands-free driving on compatible roads in the US and Canada. Over 750,000 miles of roads have been mapped, and a white steering wheel-like icon will appear on your screen when you’re on a compatible road. To use it, you activate Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Forward Collision System (FCS), press the Super Cruise button, and the icon will change to green.

This system used lidar, radar, cameras, and GPS to continually update your position and the road ahead. Your Yukon will accelerate, decelerate, and steer while you relax and monitor it. You can disengage by pressing the button or taking control of the wheel. As a safety measure, it also monitors you to ensure you’re focused on the road. If it detects signs of tiredness, it provides visual and audio alerts and will stop your vehicle if necessary.

User-Friendly Cabin Features

A large 16.8″ diagonal color touchscreen is positioned just below your dashboard for all your infotainment needs. The screen is vertical, making it easy to access from the driver’s seat. It has Google built-in capability, together with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and is fully customizable. Another helpful design feature is the Power Sliding Center Console that will move up to 10″ backward to provide more storage space.

You can add many other available features, including a dual-pane panoramic sunroof with fast open and close, and a premium Bose stereo system with up to 22 speakers and CenterPoint surround sound.
